Colchester Youth Basketball's mission is to provide the youth of Colchester the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of basketball in a positive environment.  CYB strives not only to teach rules of the game and the skills and tactics involved in becoming a successful basketball player, but to also foster an environment where kids learn about teamwork, sportsmanship and developing a good work ethic.

Each parent plays a key role in supporting this mission through their positive support of all participants, volunteers and referees who are each doing their best.

The Power of Positive

For answers to common questions about our programs, to make suggestions, or to volunteer, please read our FAQ page.

Also, please be respectful of our schools and gyms

CYB is dependent on the use of our school gyms to run our programs.  Please help us maintain a good partnership with our schools by keeping the below in mind.   Each year we receive multiple complaints on these from our schools and the Board of Education which takes time away from focusing on our kids and our programs.

- no unattended children in the hallways or gyms
- no food or drink in the gym (besides water)
- no water bottles or other trash left behind
- no bouncing of basketballs in the hallways or off walls
- no smoking or vape pens on school property

If you see or hear something that doesn't support the above, please say something!

CYB and its players need your help to maintain a fun, positive environment for all.
